Impregnated wood
Green for sustainability
We deliver pressure-impregnated wood products in the classic green color, some products are also available with brown pigment.
Quality and sustainability through the Swedish Wood Protection Association
We have worked with wood impregnation since the 70s. The quality is guaranteed, among other things, through our membership in the Swedish Wood Protection Association and our NTR A and NTR AB certification. This gives you both a warranty period and assurance that the products meet the requirements in terms of both the environment and user requirements. We deliver impregnated wood products in the classic green color, but also with brown pigment.
The impregnation process
Scattered timber packages are placed in an impregnation tube which is sealed, with the help of vacuum pressure in the tube the wood preservative is then pressed into the end wood and through each board in the direction of the grain. Only the sapwood in the wood can be impregnated, the heartwood of the pine is already saturated with nature's own impregnation in the form of fats and resins.
Green or brown
The traditional green color comes from salts and copper, while the brown impregnation is due to brown pigment being added to the wood preservative. All impregnated wood gradually changes to a silver gray shade. However, the brown pigment disappears very quickly if exposure to UV light is high. To keep the original color, treat the wood with brown pigmented wood oil.
Sustainable products
Our certification by NTR A and NTR AB means a 20-year guarantee and applies to attack by rot. But it is important that you use the right product in the right place.
- NTR AB – above ground
- NTR A – in contact with ground and in structures
