Now you don't have to paint for weeks, feel stressed about the rain or that time goes by so fast. With Valbo Trä's outer panel - primed or pre painted - you get a quality product made of spruce from northern Sweden that is treated with the best possible technology. You can safely wait until next year before the panel needs to be finished.
Standard treatments
Depending on how the wood will be used or how it will look, it can be treated in different ways and with different types of paint. Everything from the classic mud color to the state-of-the-art hybrid color. Read further down about each type of treatment.
Less work for the same price as if you paint yourself
Primed/Pre painted
Feel safe with a state-of-the-art hybrid paint (alkyd/acrylate) from Teknos. This means that you can choose between alkyd or acrylate paint when finishing. You can also choose whether you want your outdoor panel to be primed only or primed and pre painted. As standard, three-sided painting is included in our four stand colors, and end wood painting is also offered. Of course, you can choose exactly any other color you want. And if you want a four-sided painting, for example for a fence, we will solve it.
Iron vitriol
Iron vitriol is a surface treatment to quickly get the impression of a grayed wooden surface, so that the facade looks weathered, which nature otherwise takes care of itself for untreated wood. The color variations of an iron vitriol-treated facade are many and change over time, and depend on both external circumstances and the characteristics of each individual board.
The treatment provides a coloring of the wood, but no significant protection against biological attacks and no moisture protection.
When installing an iron vitriol-treated panel, stainless steel nails must be used.
Wood stain
We use Woodex Aqua Classic from Teknos.
A water-borne, non-film-forming stain for outdoor use. Protects wooden surfaces from moisture, soiling and also from the sun's UV radiation.

Mud color
We also paint with traditional mud paint, here we use Falu Vapen Rödfärg. The paint is made from linseed oil, flour, iron vitriol and iron oxide pigments. The color is cooked as traditional mud color should be, but lacks the heavy metals that can accompany when earth pigments are used. We paint once with the mud paint, which is then finished after assembly on the facade.
Facade color
Falu Fasad (formerly Fasadfärg) is a modern matte alkyd oil-based emulsion paint and has properties similar to traditional mud paint. No dense paint film is formed, which allows the wood to breathe. Can be advantageously used together with mud paint on surfaces for which traditional mud paint is not suitable. We paint once with the industrial variant of Falu Fasad, then the panel is finished after installation with Falu Fasad - consumer paint. The facade color comes just like the mud color from Falu Vapen.
